ITIL Tools can be used in all phases of a IT project beginning of the pre project phase where the project is initiated and planned, followed by the project execution where the actual outcome of the project is created and afterwards the project end where the project will be closed and the knowledge will be transferred. The content of the theory was proven by interviews with people who have experiences in the field of IT project management and IT service management.
